LEICESTER youngster Ashton Boughen was crowned British Youth 500cc Champion at Belle Vue on Friday.
The 15-year-old has dominated the series in 2023 and only a mathematical miracle could have denied him the title heading into the final round at the National Speedway Stadium.
But in the event, Boughen kept up his fantastic record by going through the card in the qualifying races and then winning the Final, with his Lion Cubs team-mate Max James finishing second on the night.
Jody Scott was second overall with Ashton Vale third.
Boughen then made a guest appearance for Edinburgh in the NDL match which followed, and racked up a massive 16 points from six rides.
